The first time that I visited Vigan City and photo document the Plaza Salcedo (Dancing Fountain) was kinda untimely since the Local Government was conducting a scheduled cleaning/maintenance and testing routine of the fountains. I did not lose heart but instead made use of my time wisely and inquired who was in charge of the fountain maintenance. With proper due diligence, I was granted access to the upper viewing area. This was the first productive image that I took which is a semblance of a “dance rehearsal” which was actually the duo of the colorful setting sun and the fountain with exposed lighting/pumping systems.
Visitors can use this time to get to learn more about Vigan by interacting with the locals in the plazas. One can start in Plaza Salcedo, by relaxing near the fountain and taking night-time pictures.
The Dancing Lights of Vigan is located at Plaza Salcedo, a public park so it's 100% free to visit. There’s definitely no entrance fee. One has just to arrive early as the place tends to become jam packed before the daily fountain light show which starts at 7pm.

If you plan to shoot fountains, make sure to have a dry lens cloth/paper, tripod and remote cable/wireless release.

The side fountains get activated.
Don't be deceived of the beauty of the fountain lights as the higher the fountain spout goes the more water spray that will start hitting you and your camera. Now remember that the fountain water is treated with chlorinated chemicals that this can have damaging effects to a camera.
Every time, the fountain water subsides, I wipe my camera filter with camera paper/cloth. I also put the camera cloth on top of my camera to prevent the chlorinated fountain water from hitting it. It's my habit to subscribe erring to the side of safety.
