OxygenOS 11.1.4.4 for the OnePlus Nord started to roll out to its users in a time phased and incremental public-facing update which started last June 2021.
I was surprised today, July 13, 2021 that I received the OTA (Over-The-Air) update.
If you haven’t received the OTA (Over-the-Air) update on your device, and you would like to do an OTA bypass, you can download the firmware package from the links below and do a manual flash.
Here is a screenshot of an OTA which was automatically downloaded.
After activating install now, here is a screenshot of install progress at 100%.
Next, just press reboot.
Success! Your system is up to date.
I checked the Update Log, and it displays:
System
- Extended battery life
- Reduced power consumption in specific scenarios
- Fixed the issue of delayed notifications
- Fixed the overheating issue in certain scenarios
- Updated Android security patch to 2021.06
- Improved system stability
Bypass OTA Method
Caution (Heads up!)
It
is very important that before you proceed, do make sure your phone has
at least 30% battery charge, and
a minimum of 3GB of available storage space before you start installing the update.
Download the appropriate firmware package corresponding to your variant from the links below and place it in the root directory of your phone’s internal storage.
Then, navigate to
Settings
System
System Update
Local Update
and select your update package to begin the installation.
Your OnePlus NORD device should automatically reboot after the update gets successfully installed.
